Why Should You Use Aluminum Free Deodorant
If you’ve ever used a commercial antiperspirant, you’ve most likely used a product containing aluminum. Aluminum is a naturally-occurring ingredient that is used to prevent sweat. While aluminum is naturally-occurring, it can be harmful to your body in high doses and can cause some serious health effects! Here are 4 areas of your body that are negatively affected by aluminum-based deodorants:
1. Pores
The reason conventional companies use aluminum in their products is to clog pores to prevent sweat and odor. The fault behind this logic is that sweat doesn’t cause body odor—bacteria does! Sweat itself is actually odorless. Sweating is a natural body function that detoxifies the body from harsh toxins and impurities that our skin absorbs every day. Using aluminum prevents this natural body process by clogging pores, which can lead to toxic build-ups, acne, and other dermatological problems.
2. Skin Irritation
Does your skin turn red after the use of aluminum-based deodorants? Does it itch, burn, or is sensitive to touch? If so, your skin may be having a negative reaction to the aluminum compounds. Many people are sensitive or allergic to aluminum-based products and don’t even know it. The use of aluminum can lead to skin irritations and allergic reactions, especially when used on broken skin. Women who shave their armpits are at greater risk of this happening. Applying a product containing aluminum to broken skin provides a direct path for the aluminum to enter the bloodstream.
3. The Central Nervous System
Aluminum is a neurotoxin that alters the function of the blood-brain barrier and can have a serious impact on your central nervous system as a whole. Though this type of chemical can be readily absorbed through your skin, your body is inefficient at expelling it, making it easy to build up aluminum over time. Scientists have found a correlation between neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease and high aluminum levels.
4. Breast Cancer
As deodorant is applied to the underarms and armpits are so close to the breasts, several scientists have suggested a possible connection between aluminum-based products and breast cancer. Research found that when the skin absorbs these aluminum compounds, they can cause changes in estrogen receptors of breast cells. As estrogen promotes the growth of cancerous and non-cancerous breast cells, these studies have suggested aluminum-based products as a risk factor for the development of breast cancer.

I love this spray!! I have been using it for years and it’s the only deodorant I will use! Natural deodorant sticks usually have some kind of oil that always rubs off on my clothes but this is the perfect solution!
I tried so many different natural deodorants for more than a decade until a couple of years ago that I discovered this brand... Thanks to them I've ''conquered'' 2 summers and a postpartum ! PS: Their Probiotic Feminine Wash is also amazing !
I love Cardamom and when you initially spray It this is the main scent. I sprayed at night and it fades by the morning and you get the hints of rose.
I picked up this deodorant at the store while I lived near a bigger city, but since I moved I order it direct and absolutely think it is the best deodorant currently out there!
